“I feel like the fandom can be too harsh. No matter what the writers do, everyone seems to hate it. Can’t we all just learn to love the show despite its faults?”
“Once I learned of Tenzin and Lin’s romantic past: I lost a lot of respect towards Tenzin. Sure, there are all kinds of reasons why Tenzin doesn’t deserve ‘hate’ or in any kind of form. But it was just unfair that Lin was the one left bitter and lonley while Tenzin happily and contently moved forward with his sixteen-year younger wife. Lin deserved happiness too.”
“I’m surprised that Katara didn’t go into a deep depression after Aang died. I image it’s because he asked her not to since one day they’d meet each other again one day.”
“I truly wish there is another Beifong family member out there to continue Toph’s legacy. Also, given her bitter history with Tenzin: I really want Lin to have family alive who love her unconditionally. Preferably I would love someone who is young and bears a lot of resemblance to Toph.”
“The more I think about it, the more disappointed I am by Amon’s Noatak story and subsequent death. Yes, I found his backstory to be interesting but it seriously came out of fucking nowhere and then he just dies and what the bloddy hell was that. Amon pre-Noatak had the potential to add a LOT of depth and complexity to this series and they completely ruined it for the sake of “shock value” in the finale. Did they just get bored writing him or what.”
